The UNI.T is the theatre of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and is located on Fasanenstraße, near the Concert House, a stone's throw from Zoologischer Garten Station. The university theatre in the heart of Berlin's Charlottenburg district has up to 330 seats and offers students the invaluable opportunity to try out what it is like on stage and behind the scenes and present themselves to an audience, while providing insight into the training at the UdK and the chance to follow young talent from the beginning of their careers.
The students are also regular participants in coproductions with other Berliner Bühnen, such as the Deutsches Theater, the Maxim Gorki Theatre and the Neuköllner Oper. There are also cooperations with other further education establishments, above all with the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music, the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb).
The Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) is one of the largest, most diverse and oldest arts schools in the world. The courses in the four faculties Fine Art, Design, Music and Performing Arts as well as the Central Institute for Further Education offer the complete spectrum of art education in 70 practical and academic courses. With over 600 events a year, the UdK is a major contributor to the cultural life of Berlin.
