The TIPI AM KANZLERAMT (Teepee by the Chancellery) in Berlin's Tiergarten district offers top class entertainment all year round. In Europe's largest permanently situated circus tent, audiences are enchanted every evening by concerts, cabaret, burlesque, artistry, musicals, comedies and shows.
On summer evenings, you can begin the evening underneath the shady trees in the beer garden, or in the colder months go straight into the cosy tent, festively lit with chandeliers. The audience sits at bistro tables with starched tablecloths and can fortify themselves with an aperitif or a delicacy from the sophisticated menu in the interval or before the curtain rises.
Artists such as Tim Fischer, Gayle Tufts, Georgette Dee, Maren Kroymann, Désirée Nick and Sven Ratzke show their latest productions in the TIPI and stars such as Götz Alsmann, Gitte Haenning, Dominique Horwitz and Ulrich Tukur provide intelligent entertainment. There are also regular international guest spots from the crazy UK Ukulele Orchestra, the zany Briefs from Australia or the Venetian chameleon Ennio. And last but not least the in-house production of Cabaret - The Musical, the legendary staging by the American director Vincent Paterson, continues to thrill fans in its 11th year, with its glittering, louche evocation of 20s Berlin.
The festive tent is also exclusively available for hire and lends itself to large and small events alike with its variable space layout.
