Prime Time Theater
Gutes Wedding, Schlechtes Wedding
Since 2003 the only known stage sitcom "Gutes Wedding Schlechtes Wedding" has been performed at the Weddinger Volkstheater. The motto here is: The most important thing in life, besides love - and health - is humour. And true to this motto, everything in the Prime Time Theater revolves around comedy.
The Prime Time Theater in Wedding was founded in December 2003 by Oliver Tautorat, who has been running it alone since 2015 and is also on stage. In his character as "Postman Kalle" he greets the guests every evening and leads the warm-up before each performance. In autumn 2019, the theatre was rescued from insolvency, and RAZ Kultur gGmbH took over the theatre, which was able to reopen after a short rebuilding phase.
Every six weeks there is now a new episode of "Gutes Wedding Schlechtes Wedding", which is played from Wednesday to Sunday. The performances start reliably at prime time at 20:15 pm, only on Sunday already at 17:15 pm. For an elegant introduction to the new episode there is a "Lastly at..." summary for newcomers.
The stage series is completed with special pieces like the "Weddingers" or "Hamlet - Problemprinz aus dem Wedding". At the RAZ-Café in the foyer, guests can enjoy fruity cocktails, regional beers and delicious food.
