KABARETT-THEATER DIE STACHELSCHWEINE
POLITICAL CABARET THEATER
The legendary cabaret theater Die Stachelschweine was founded in 1949 and is the oldest political cabaret in Berlin. Then as now, Die Stachelschweine stands for ensemble cabaret: political, unruly, critical, entertaining and with lots of music. Erich Kästner wrote in the guestbook of the Porcupines: Dear Porcupines! Never let them shave you!
In 2019, the theater was completely renewed by the Berlin cabaret artist Frank Lüdecke and his wife Caroline Lüdecke. You can order drinks and snacks at the table seats in the hall.
The foyer was redesigned by the renowned design studio Aisslinger. Events such as concerts, poetry slams or readings take place there.
The Porcupines are located in the basement of the Europa Center in City-West.
