BAR JEDER VERNUNFT
The glittering mirror tent of the BAR JEDER VERNUNFT has been the home to the crème de la crème of cabaret, chanson, entertainment and comedy for more than twenty years. The BAR is tucked away in Berlin's Wilmersdorf district and oozes the glamour of 20s Berlin bohemian nightlife.
The Geschwister Pfister grew up here in the mirrored tent of the BAR JEDER VERNUNFT. This is where Meret Becker debuted, Michael Mittermeier had his first successes outside Bavaria and Georgette Dee is the regular house diva, so to speak. Désirée Nick quotes herself, Rainald Grebe sings about Brandenburg, René Marik entertains with his puppets and Maren Kroymann reflects astutely on his own socialisation in the music business. The performances of "The White Horse Inn" with Max Raabe and the Geschwister Pfister are legendary. For "Cabaret" the BAR JEDER VERNUNFT transforms itself into a sleazy 20s club and for "La Cage aus Folles - The Musical" the mirror tent becomes the most popular nightclub in St. Tropez night after night.
The mirror tent was made as an Art Nouveau Palais de danse in the Netherlands in 1912 and served until the 20s as a seasonal ball and dance tent in sophisticated Dutch and Belgian resorts before it experienced its splendid renaissance in Berlin. The BAR JEDER VERNUNFT has seating for up to 230 people, a menu of seasonal dishes is served before the shows at elegantly laid tables in the centre or in alcoves as well as a beer garden.
