Astrid Lindgren Bühne im FEZ-Berlin
"If I have managed to brighten up even one gloomy childhood – then I’m satisfied." The team of the Astrid-Lindgren-Bühne (Astrid Lindgren Theatre) is dedicated to the motto of its namesake. Just as the world famous Swedish author of books for children and young people Astrid Lindgren (1907-2002) did, the theatre's performances whisk the young audiences away to a world of adventure, poetry and music.
Like the singing playful characters on stage, the children are encouraged to be true to themselves and to follow their fantasy and curiosity where it will lead. The Astrid-Lindgren-Bühne holds 559 people and as well as receiving guest productions of music, dance and puppetry, shows a repertory of Astrid Lindgren pieces such as "Pippi Longstocking", "Mio, my Son" as well as Otto Preußler's "The Little Water Sprite".
The Astrid-Lindgren-Bühne is resident at the FEZ Berlin in Köpenick, Europe's largest non-profit centre for children, young people and families. The FEZ offers visitors creative play, entertainment and relaxation and combines education, experience and culture in its diverse programme.
