Forum Theatre play in the frame of KURINGA - Forum Theatre Week 2025
The forum theatre play Where Is My Place? by the theatre group Bralin artistically and interactively addresses current social challenges shaped by ethnic and cultural differences as well as social exclusion. In an increasingly polarized society, where digital media both fosters communication and reinforces division, this project offers a space for dialogue, reflection, and collective action.
At the heart of the performance are the personal stories of migrants and people from diverse cultural backgrounds who, in their everyday lives, are repeatedly confronted with prejudice and social exclusion. The play draws on real-life experiences and social conflicts, transforming them into scenes performed on stage. Forum theatre offers the audience an opportunity to actively interact in the performance, test alternative courses of action and work together to develop potential strategies.
The project aims to raise awareness of mechanisms of discrimination in society and increase sensitivity to the consequences of prejudice and racism. At the same time, it encourages the audience to critically examine their own attitudes and take an active stand for a respectful and inclusive society.
Through the interactive method of forum theatre, a participatory space is created where people can engage in conversation.
