FЯEMDE POESIE? #3
By Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg
Poet Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg begins his book with the lines: »i was / sexually abused / see myself / for the first time as / an abused man / i will investigate / the wounds of / my soul and / keep records for those / who don’t understand«. He invites us to this act of introspection in front of a mirror. He tells us about himself, about us, and possibly about that which we – even to ourselves – keep silent.
Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg adapts his text for the stage together with director Dor Aloni. The intimacy of the poetry, the inner voice, is transferred to the physicality of a performance. The book turns into theatre.
World Premiere 27/September 2024
Content note: The production addresses sexual abuse on a linguistic level.
