Inspired by late-night shows in the U.S, werk in progress is a format that transfers the pace, wit and playful character of those programmes onto a literary event. At the centre of the show are a manuscript and its author.

Over the course of the evening, fiction and reality come together – because the other guests come from the world of the manuscript. Whether hedge fund manager or ballet dancer, castaway or UN-delegate, in this programme they can contribute their real experiences to the manuscript in progress and let fiction overtake them.

In this edition, we discuss alternative realities and societal structures with Rudi Nuss and search for the place where they could be lived out – somewhere between world wide web and wandering in the woods.
