TOE to TOE – Liz Williams sortiert ein Leben voller Schuhe und wird dabei mit Identitäten konfrontiert, mit ihrer und der anderer, mit entdeckten und verlorenen, vermissten und noch zu schaffenden. Auf einer Reise durch die Zeit werden beim Anprobieren verschiedener Schuhe persönliche Geschichten, Beziehungen und Schlüsselmomente im Leben reflektiert. Mit Tanz und Luftartistik kreiert Liz Williams eine zeitgenössische Zirkus-Solo- Performance, die mit artistischer Qualität begeistert und gleichermaßen berührt.

Liz Williams stammt aus New York City, wo sie klassischen und zeitgenössischen Tanz professionell studierte. Sie zog nach Berlin und wechselte früh in ihrer Karriere zur Zirkuskunst. Sie trat in den renommiertesten Varietés, Theatern und Festivals in Deutschland auf.

Als Performerin und als Leiterin von Q Space ist sie ein fester Bestandteil der zeitgenössischen Zirkusszene Berlins.

Das geförderte Projekt ist Teil des Residenzprogrammes schloss Bröllin e.V., unterstützt durch das Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur, Bundes- und Europaangelegenheiten des Landes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und den Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald.
 

TOE to TOE - Liz Williams sorts through a lifetime of shoes and is confronted with identities, hers and others, discovered and lost, missing and yet to be created. On a journey through time, personal stories and relationships, key moments in life are reflected on, while trying on different shoes. With dance and aerial artistry, Liz Williams creates a contemporary circus solo performance that inspires and touches, in equal measure, with its artistic quality.

Liz Williams comes from New York City, where she studied classical and contemporary dance professionally. She moved to Berlin and switched to circus arts early in her career. She has performed in the most renowned variety shows, theaters and festivals in Germany.

As a performer and as the director of Q Space, she is an integral part of Berlin's contemporary circus scene.

„TOE to TOE“  is part of the residency programme 2024 schloss Bröllin e.V., supported by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald. Toe to Toe is also supported by Q Space Berlin and Pfefferberg Theater.
