We were inspired to form a book club after visiting the launch event for the translation of the third volume of Aesthetics of Resistance by Joel Scott at Vierte Welt, an event that left many of us wondering whether now might finally be the time to tackle this challenging book. Despite its reputation for complexity (and the fact that none of us have the time, of course), something about that evening made it feel possible and maybe important to try. We want to come together with others who are equally curious, uncertain, and maybe secretly excited to start this reading journey together. At this first meeting, we’ll talk about how we might approach the book and what kind of pace and format could work. Everyone is welcome, whether you're already reading, just thinking about it, or still undecided.
