Singing Machine
Solo by and with Hermann Heisig
A solo performance that is also a revue, an absurd vocal exercise, a sound assessment and a simultaneous self-experiment.
In his solo, which is at once a revue, an absurd vocal exercise, a sonic positioning exercise and a simultaneous self-experiment, Hermann Heisig acts like a solo entertainer who goes from the 100th to the 1000th at times. Equipped with a synthesiser, microphone stand and glittering suit, he moderates the room and the surrounding situation by clearing his throat, cheering, commenting, onomatopoeia and flaming speeches. He creates numbers in which he speaks, sings and dances, and in which the voice becomes the body's resonance chamber or, conversely, the body becomes the voice's resonance chamber: Heisig dances what he sings and sings what he dances.
