RENAUD CAPUÇON & GUILLAUME BELLOM
Works for Violin and Piano
Renaud Capuçon and Guillaume Bellom present a program of French and francophone rarities for violin and piano. Camille Pépin wrote her piece, whose title was inspired by one of Paul Éluard’s poems, for the two artists, who premiered it in 2023. They also perform works by Maurice Ravel and Rita Strohl, both written in 1897 and subsequently fallen into obscurity for entirely different reasons. The program concludes with the 1892 Violin Sonata by Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu.
