QUATUOR DIOTIMA
String Quartets by Brahms, Zemlinsky, and Iannotta
“A Failed Entertainment” was the working title of David Foster Wallace’s monumental 1996 novel Infinite Jest. Inspired by the author’s innovative storytelling, Italian composer Clara Iannotta set out to explore equally experimental paths in her works. Her eponymous string quartet was written in 2013 for Quatuor Diotima. The French ensemble combines the piece with works by Johannes Brahms and Alexander Zemlinsky.
