Psychic Liberation • Daniela Huerta • MARK • secret getii with Jeremy Segal
Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013, originally ran with Miguel Alvariño titled Primitive Languages as a cassette and record store project in New York City. It is now operated solo by Nick Klein since 2019 under the working title Psychic Liberation out of the EU. The eponymous concert series in the Red Salon takes place with changing guests. On April 26th we are happy to present Daniela Huerta, MARK, secret getii with Jeremy Segal.
Born in Mexico, Daniela Huerta is a Berlin-based multimedia artist, composer, and researcher. Exploring the intersection of sound and consciousness, Huerta channels mythology and storytelling into a richly layered artistic practice that bridges the real and the imaginary, creating vivid landscapes that aim to connect with the depths of the human psyche. Her approach is equal parts raw and refined—a boundary-pushing exploration of sound as a narrative force.
Over the past five years, Mark has carved out a distinct presence in underground drum’n’bass, blending classic jungle sounds with electroacoustic ambience. His releases on A Colourful Storm and Berghain’s Unterton reflect deep philosophical themes about society, power, and chance, explored through complex, atmospheric soundscapes. Projects like Integrier Dich Du Yuppie and The Least Likely Event Will Occur In The Long Run established his conceptual focus early on. With Not Kennt Kein Gebot! (2022), Mark dives into rich classical and avant-garde references, a theme also present in his NTS Radio show True As Few. His latest LP, So You Betrayed The Creative Arts For Your Own Personal Ends, moves away from dance music roots, creating rhythmically intricate works that challenge perception and embrace contrast and transformation.
Jeremy Segal is a musician, artist, and sound engineer from Perth, Western Australia, now based in Berlin. His recent work includes computer music, radio, live electronics, and a digitally controlled acoustic drum kit. domingo castillo is a musician, writer and retired artist who collaborates often.
