Dancing together / everybody is welcome!
Dancers usually count till 8, musicians till 4 and the vast majority of the music we hear is in 4/4, meaning 4 beats per measure. I recently asked myself how it is to dance on odd times signature songs, for example 5/4 or 7/4... or more simply 3/4 valse rhythm.
I will share some footwork and experiments based on the french dance "la bourré" in 3/4 and a 5/4 basic step that I developed lately. Listening to different music genres we will take one foot after the other and playfully try unusual rhythm and folk-dances inspired circulation patterns.
Check-in for all events will be at the entrance of Uferstraße 23. We ask for compliance with the applicable distance, mask and hygiene regulations.
