MANNA
MANNA
As part of the maC theses
MANNA moves between glacial melt and birth chamber, between laboratory and ritual. At its core are materials whose mutability — from solid to liquid, from transparent to porous — serves as a starting point for choreographic research into transformation, bodily boundaries, dependency, and empathy. Between tender care and threatening closeness, the performers negotiate their relationship to the materials - and to one another. Their bodies merge temporarily, only to separate again. They become mother animals, reptiles, aliens.
The MA Choreography students develop their final projects during the last semester of their master’s program and present them to the public. The premiere is preceded by several months of research and rehearsals, during which they engage intensively with their individual questions and themes, refining their unique approach and artistic signature.
