LOVESTORM
In »Lovestorm«, Johanna von Obersdorf, with her puppet Janne, embarks on a wild journey through the narratives of right-wing populism, influencers,…
“My sister, I love you more than the moon, the sun, the sky and the earth.” I will change the world!” Johanna von Obersdorf is the central German weather fairy, she is the ONE from the internet! She would like to become a warrior, like her hero Jeanne D’Arc. Somewhere between myth, feminism and ideology, Johanna and her puppet Janne set off down a wild path through the narrative of the new right, the influencers and the prevailing real insanity. The walls between the internet and her room, however, begin to crumble. A storm of emojis, cat pictures and fantasies of destruction gathers and poses questions about the significance of new media in an age of growing right-wing populism. Lovestorm uses puppets, theater and video mapping to tell the story of the modern instrumentalization of a famous heroic female character.
