“Passion, precision, warmth,” is how a critic of the New York Times once characterised the playing of the Jerusalem Quartet, which kicked off in 1996. The ensemble is a regular guest on important concert stages around the world, and has been awarded numerous prizes for their standard-setting interpretations, such as the Diapason d’or and the BBC Music Magazine Award. On this programme with works by Schubert and Prokofiev, the ensemble will present two pioneering string quartets from the Romantic and Russian modern eras.
