KIERAN CARREL, JULIUS DRAKE & DAME HARRIET WALTER
Lied und Lyrik: Byron – Keats – Shelley
If one were to name the most celebrated poems in English literature, Lord Byron’s She Walks in Beauty, Percy Bysshe Shelley’s To a Skylark, and John Keats’s Ode to a Nightingale would most likely make the list. Kieran Carrel and Julius Drake explore the works of these three leading Romantic poets in a wide range of musical settings from the 19th and 20th centuries. Theater and film actress Dame Harriet Walter (previously heard in a Lied und Lyrik program in 2024) reads from their works and letters.
