Praised for his minimalist yet emotionally charged playing, he is a former member of Paul Motian’s Electric Bebop Band and the Tomasz Stańko Quintet. Bro leads his own quartet in the first part of his Pierre Boulez Saal debut, performing a number of his own compositions. Trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire and percussionist Marilyn Mazur join for the second set.
