Hypothetic Bodies is a performative work about the potential of moments of in-between. An accelerated body is examined for moments in which it repeatedly stands on the threshold of action and pausing. Through micro-movements, detailed gestures and gradual changes in the intensities of movement, a fragile body is created that makes another temporality and thus potentials of possibility in a movement sequence tangible.
The work will be shown online as a film in cooperation with the Maschinenhaus Essen in September 2021. As part of AUSUFERN, the team of Hypothetic Bodies will open its rehearsals and invite you to see live excerpts from the work and to participate in the rehearsal process.
Check-in for all events will be at the entrance of Uferstraße 23. We ask for compliance with the applicable distance, mask and hygiene regulations.
