Two seasons ago, the Heath Quartet presented Jörg Widmann’s complete string quartets at the Pierre Boulez Saal. Now the four British musicians return to perform his 2017 Clarinet Quintet—with the composer himself taking on the clarinet part. The program opens with Benjamin Britten’s Second String Quartet and his famous arrangement of Purcell’s G-minor Chaconne.
