Goldregen - Die Poesie zwischen Körper und Geist
From the inside to the outside. From quiet to loud.
Gold Rain – The Poetry Between Body and Mind
An autobiographical dance theater piece by Carolin Hartmann
In her autobiographical dance theater piece, Carolin invites the audience to delve deeply into her current state of being and explore both the physical and mental structures that have shaped her personal and artistic development.
After several attempts to adapt to a sick society, a progressive neurological disorder forces Carolin to pause and take a new path. Confined to a wheelchair, Carolin embarks on a spiritual and ultimately artistic journey that ultimately allows her to escape the confines of societal norms into unimagined freedom. In her movement research, she begins to reread her body – and thus finds in art a language that allows her to reunite body, mind, and soul.
As Carolin shares her personal story in a poetic, sensual, and glittering production featuring video animation, voiceover (texts from her autobiography), dance, and performance, she creates space for the audience to question their own relationship between body and mind and encourages them to find a new approach to their own world. The performance becomes not only a space for reflection, but also a lively, ironic mirror of the world, in which humor and color are not neglected.
