For the 3rd edition of the REPERTOIRE series, which invites filmmakers from the orbit of the renowned FIDMarseille Festival for in-depth discussions and screenings, we are delighted to welcome Yotam Ben-David, who will present three films in person.

After the screening, there will be a discussion between film critic James Lattimer and Yotam Ben-David.

FIDMarseille is an international film festival with competitive sections, a focus on world and international premieres, and distinguished guests. The festival aims to highlight contemporary cinematic storytelling, whether fiction or documentary, short or feature-length films. An eight-year-old boy finds a dead man’s body at the top of a mountain. As he knocks on the doors of the village, trying to solve the mystery, a portrait of a village is revealed – a place in transition between the traditions of the past and the violence of contemporary reality.

Thunder from the Sea (2018) 45 min.
As three 19 years old friends get together at their childhood village, rolling thunders approach the dark hills of the village as well as a growing doubt regarding the future of their long-lasting friendship.
