The family archive exhibition is a counter-point of the research into state archives. This research is created with the participation of Roma/Sinti and Jewish public figures who volunteer to share their family collection, connecting to questions of memory, belonging and individual perception of self and others. The private archive fades the differences between Roma/Sinti and Jewish individuals and other European citizens. The exhibition is an attempt to challenge contemporary discourses of identity politics and to strengthen the alliance among the “Othered” of Europe.
