Anne-Laure, Élise, David, Florian, and Gonzague, five bored Parisian youths from affluent backgrounds, are skipping school. On the street they meet the six-year-old black girl Elikya. In order to delouse her, they kidnap the girl, after which they humiliate and torture the child. Like a chamber play, the nightmarish youth novel tells of youthful brutalization, the escalation of violence, and racism. »A little masterpiece, as disturbing as it is captivating« [FAZ].
