Aber nicht küssen ist auch kontraproduktiv. Szenen aus dem Leben der Rosa Luxemburg. (Teil 2)
Frieden!
2nd Peace! (1906 - 1914) The second part begins with Rosa's return from the Russian Revolution in 1906 and ends in August 1914. We see her campaigning in favour of the general strike as a means of preventing the approaching war; her dispute with the leaders of the SPD, August Bebel and Karl Kautsky; the painful separation from her long-time partner Leon Jogiches; her friendship with Clara Zetkin; Rosa, who as a teacher at the party school explains imperialism to her pupils Friedrich Ebert and Wilhelm Pieck; finally, how she fights tirelessly for peace on the streets and at international conferences - right up to the moment when she has to witness the outbreak of world war.
The production relies on the power of Luxemburg's language, leads with a light hand from the report to the play scene, spatially realises temporal structures and remains close to the audience. Last but not least, the actress Ana Hauck, who comes from the Georgian State Theatre in Tbilisi, embodies Rosa Luxemburg so vividly that "on a barren stage in a small Kreuzberg backyard" (Sonia Mikich) the life and thoughts of one of the greatest women in German history come astonishingly close to the audience.
"I was super enthusiastic...And the acting was a huge achievement, it was wonderful." Bettina Hirsch, Radio Alex Berlin
