15'000 Games
Houseclub / machina eX
With pupils from Fritz-Karsen-Schule
At the Aaron McLain Institute, everyone has just one thing in mind: the perfect game. The employed researchers work on game worlds, game theatre scenarios and puzzle mechanics for live theatre situations. Regular tours of the institute and test runs with test subjects are part of everyday life - after all, research cannot be carried out without playtests. Unfortunately, however, mysterious incidents have been occurring again and again on these tours recently.
For the 15th anniversary of machina eX, one of the collective's classics is being rededicated: the 2011 work “15,000 Gray” is being reinterpreted and performed by pupils from Neukölln's Fritz-Karsen-Schule. With the help of the 15,000 Gray DIY set, which has been freely available to download online for several years, a scenic collage of and about theatre games will be created, which will be performed as part of the Houseclub at HAU3.
