Digital accessibility statement
The digital accessibility declaration is required by the Berlin Accessible Information and Communication Technology Act (BIKTG Bln). The technical requirements for accessibility are derived from BITV 2.0. This digital accessibility declaration applies to the website www.berlin-buehnen.de.
When was the accessibility declaration drawn up?
This declaration was created or revised on 07.02.2022. The technical verification of accessibility was carried out by the facility listed above.
How accessible is the offer?
The website is for the most part compatible with the requirements of BITV 2.0. We are striving to continuously reduce remaining barriers and to eliminate them as far as possible.
Which areas are not barrier-free?
The areas listed below are not barrier-free for the following reasons:
Disproportionate burden
Partial areas that are not designed barrier-free, as it would be a disproportionate burden (BIKTG Bln §4 paragraph 3):
Subarea: 9.1.1b Alternative texts for graphics and object (external content)
Description: A large proportion of unlinked graphics and images obtained from external sources are not provided with alternative texts. This primarily affects production photos in the schedule and on the stage pages.
Explanation of why disproportionate burden exists: Berlin Bühnen obtains external data on stage events from two sources: Data is automatically imported via interfaces of some stages and, in addition, independently entered by the editors of the approximately 90 participating stages. An editorial control of these very extensive amounts of data by the editorial staff of the Berlin Bühnen portal is not feasible and therefore represents a disproportionate burden. The editors of Berlin Bühnen continue to point out to the participating institutions the necessity of assigning alternative texts for graphics and objects.
