Who is Berlin Bühnen?
Our motto is: Find what you are looking for and discover something new! The online portal Berlin Bühnen brings together the schedules of over 90 Berlin theaters, operas and concert halls on one website, in one calendar. The joint schedule offers an overview of Berlin's diverse theater landscape: from the state and municipal theaters with their ensembles, the three major operas and the state ballet, private theaters, independent venues, concert halls to children's and youth theaters.
How it works:
All institutions, regardless of whether they have 50 or 2,000 seats, present theater, opera, dance, cabaret, concerts or shows, are listed on an equal footing: with their monthly events, guided tours, festivals, workshops as well as service and ticket information in German and English. In addition, you can find offers from the theater and dance education departments of the theaters, operas and concert halls on Berlin Bühnen.
Reach your goal with filters:
Thematic filters in the schedule help you select by theater, dance, performance, musical theater, musical & show, concert, comedy & cabaret, characters & object theater, dialogue & reading, digital event, and children & youth. It is also possible to view performances with audio description and in different languages or to search for open-air events. With a click on the asterisk, one can mark favorites or call up several play schedules in parallel.
Further services:
The magazine and the monthly newsletter also expand the offering with event tips, insights and news. In the service menu, there are tips on buying tickets, guided tours and friends' groups, and summer open-air stages or theater cafés and canteens are presented. Special promotions are also published regularly. The Opera-O-Mat also provides playful inspiration for the next evening at the opera or ballet.
Who does it?
The events are entered into the database by the theaters, operas and concert halls themselves or imported via interfaces and are therefore always up-to-date. The editorial team of Berlin Bühnen regularly checks the entries and ensures a smooth technical process. The portal was founded in 2005 by Spielzeit AG, the merger of the marketing departments of Berlin's theaters. Since 2014, Berlin Bühnen has been part of Kulturprojekte Berlin.
