This year, two of the most successful performance series at ada Studio will come together under one umbrella: “S.o.S. - Students on Stage” and “Alumni.Tanz.Berlin” will melt into A.PART, a festival that presents on six evenings works by students and graduates of the Berlin contemporary dance schools. A.PART is a platform that assembles extremely diverse artistic approaches and choreographic tools and thus challenges unusual encounters.
At ada studio stage and in the courtyard of Uferstudios, contemporary dance moves along the edges of its attributions. Convinced that the diversity of the choreographic methods should get more visibility, the curatorial team continues to rely on united forces.
Around the performance evenings there is enough space for exchange, questions and answers: midnight speakers with various non-dance backgrounds invite the audience to discuss their personal opinions about the pieces, while Alexandra Hennig and Johanna Withelm will run a writing workshop during the festival, where everyone is encouraged to write about the pieces presented in the festival.
