Besides the culture supplements in two daily Berlin newspapers and the joint visitor survey covering more than 20 stages, this event database is a further example of cross-stage cooperation in this city. The aim of this website is to offer a significant value-added service. In terms of theatre marketing Berlin thus plays a pioneering role.

berlin-buehnen.de is a unique service from 55 stages for those interested in culture: from up-to-date and detailed programme information, artist biographies, a comprehensive search function (here you can for example find out when and where your favourite actor or actress is performing) to ticketing. Via the event database you have direct access to all important information for your next visit to a concert, variety show, musical, the theatre or opera.

As the site is directly updated by all participating stages themselves, it is guaranteed to be completely up-to-date.

The portal is the result of cooperation between Spielzeit AG (a working group on press and publicity for theatres in Berlin) and kulturserver.de. In the meantime new networks have been founded in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hamburg.

Apart from being of use to theatre goers, the site is also intended for the processors of cultural information (journalists, city newspapers, event calendars, cultural portals). With its individually tailorable download functions (from standard exports up to automatically synchronised homepage integration), berlin-buehnen.de is a comfortable data hub delivering up-to-date event information and press material, which can be selected and processed by editorial teams.
